no law or rule of etiquette that says you have to drop what you're doing, interrupt
a meal, lose your train of thought, or miss your favorite show...to answer the
telephone. Unless you want to. If not, screen your calls with caller ID. Or let
your voice mail pick it up. There are few things that can't wait until you're
available to talk. And you certainly don't want to be waylaid by an endless yapper.
Busy? Let the phone ring. Why make yourself crazy?
Today's Health Headlines Previous Stress Tip Take naps. This may run
counter to today's misguided work ethic, but several studies have found that people
are a lot more productive (and undoubtedly more pleasant) when they take afternoon
naps. A twenty-minute to half-hour siesta can work wonders, and it shouldn't interfere
with your night's sleep. Darn the naysayers. Close the door, have a pleasant snooze,
and reap the benefits. Why make yourself crazy?
