breathing is automatic. But measured, lung-filling, stress-reducing breathing
is not. Make a conscious effort to take a deep breath or two every so often, especially
during ticklish and trying moments of the day. It'll relax and replenish you,
relieve some of the stress and leave you better able to deal with a tense situation.
Claim the air you need to succeed. Why make yourself crazy?
Today's Health Headlines Previous Stress Tip Do things off-peak. Unless you love crowds, jostling and waiting in line, try to get things done when everyone else isn't. Go to the bank, cleaners, supermarket and pharmacy during slow periods. Eat at restaurants later or earlier than the hoi poloi. (You might even be rewarded with an early-bird special.) Vacation during fringe seasons when it's less crowded and a lot cheaper. (Pulling younger kids out of school shouldn't hurt them, especially if you work educational activities into the vacation.) In other words, live conveniently and affordably off-peak. Why make yourself crazy?
