reason why customer service is so abominable today is that people just accept
it. The company usually doesn't care as long as they're raking it in. And granted,
who wants to play menu tag or wait on hold half an hour to grouse at a low-level
functionary? But you know what? It's more aggravating to do nothing. Because every
time you think about it you're going to seethe. And that's not good. So take a
few minutes and write an email complaint. To give it some oomph, copy any consumer
organizations, industry associations, or government agencies you think might stick
in the offender's craw. Then shoot it off. If it goes unanswered, dump the chumps.
If you get a reply, you've scored some points. Either way, take some satisfaction

Don't pay for everything twice. Once with your money, and again with your resentment. Getting angry every time you reach for your wallet is high blood pressure hell. Things cost.
